Garbage Bags, Digital Illustration, 2023

The theme of this piece is “boldly growing.” The flowers are grown from garbage bags but they are blooming beautifully. With the up sides down composition that I chose, the garbage bags look like balloons. It means although you might not have a perfect background or you are facing negative situation, you can take the advantage from them and make good use of it to achieve an unexpected result. The figures are representing the spirit of boldly growing creatures. I combined analogue and digital media to complete it. I used watercolor and scanned it to procreate for the color of flower petals.
